Op-eds
I write regular op-eds on forest-friendly economic development for leading Brazilian publications. From 2021 to 2023, I contributed bilingual monthly columns to PlenaMata, an environmental news portal. Since 2024, I have written monthly op-eds for O Estado de São Paulo, and have co-authored pieces for O Globo, Valor Econômico and other outlets.
O Estado de São Paulo
O Estado de São Paulo is one of Brazil’s newspapers of record. Since May 2024, I have contributed monthly op-eds to its Green Business section examining economic development and the environment.

In addition to my regular columns, I occasionally write op-eds for other leading Brazilian publications. These pieces, often written with co-authors, examine economic and environmental policy in the Amazon.
PlenaMata
From September 2021 to August 2023, I was a founding columnist at PlenaMata, an environmental news portal maintained by InfoAmazônia, MapBiomas, and Natura. I published nearly 20 bilingual (PT/EN) monthly columns on Amazon economic development and environmental policy. The original site has been discontinued, but my columns are reproduced below.
